Is it a solid?

What type of things are solid?  What makes a solid? Below is a list of things.  Tell which ones you think are solids.  Explain your thinking.  What definition, rule, or reasoning did you use to decide whether something is a solid?

If someone has already left a comment please read and either agree or disagree.  Provide an explanation for your answer.  Disagreeing respectful is perfectly acceptable!

  20. air is obviously not a solid because solids cannot change their shape and size and float around in the air. Air changes it;s shape, along with milk, melting wax and cooking oil. The only difference is that milk, melting wax and cooking oil are more packed together and do not float around in the air.
